Welcome to the Carolina 1/2A Group website!! If you are a fan of model engines names like Cox, OK Cub, Norvel, Wenmac, Aurora, CS, Testors, Anderson Spitfire, Holland Hornet and many more you are in the right spot!! Our group focuses on engines with cubic inches .074 and smaller. We fly many of the models these engines can power.

We also sponsor a “REEDIE RACE” twice a year at the BARKS RC field in Burlington, NC. At this race we have 2 classes.

The Reedie class only allows Cox reed valve engines to be used. These are the inexpensive little engines you flew on all those plastic Cox planes!!

The Open class is for any type engine .075 inches and smaller.

There are no minimum wing area rules as well as no weight rules. You just have to be able to fly it safely!!! Please review the rules page!!

After 12:00 noon at these Reedie Racing fly-ins we have a regular fun fly type of event! Anyone with a 1/2A model is invited to participate!! So plan to attend the next Carolina Crews 1/2A Reedie Race May 3, 2008!! We will see you there.
